Since When and Where?

UserZoom has been in business since 2007 and has offices in Silicon Valley (CA), Barcelona (Spain), Manchester (UK) and Munich (Germany). The Co-Founding Team has over 50 years combined experience in the UX and Usability market.

Executive Team

UserZoom is led by an experienced team who are focused on helping turn our customers’ ideas into successful research projects.

Alfonso has over 17 years experience in the Digital Marketing industry and has worked for leading brands such as Dell Computers and Icon Medialab. After 5 years with hands on experience in the Digital Marketing industry, he simultaneously co-founded a UX Consultancy (Xperience Consulting) and a UX SaaS business (UserZoom). Alfonso is passionate about his family, first of all, then about startups and Entrepreneurship, Sales and Marketing Strategy, UX and beautifully designed products, the sport of Basketball and Formula 1.

Xavier is a passionate, dedicated software professional and remote UX testing evangelist. Surrounded by a top and sophisticated team working together to make technology easier to use, Xavier and the team’s aim is to support User Experience and Customer Insights professionals in order to make their day-to-day life easier and to improve users’ online experiences. Xavier’s personal relaxation technique? Making muffins (especially chocolate.)

Amanda brings over 20 years of extensive leadership experience contributing to customer and organizational growth, business transformation, and engaging customer experiences that result in mutual success. Most recently from Adobe, she has also enjoyed success at other technology companies including WebEx, Coremetrics, and Marketo. Amanda has a B.A. in Global Business management and when she is not working she enjoys life on the California coast.

John C. Crouch has lead many sales teams, and partners with technology, product and finance executives to turn great ideas into successful companies. He thrives in start-ups and turnarounds, and has run revenue from $5M up to $225M. John is a pioneer in the SaaS and Cloud world, and an expert in machine learning, prescriptive analytics, big data, digital marketing and enterprise applications. John holds a BS in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Andrew has more than 17 years of engineering and product management experience and leads UserZoom’s product and design team. He previously spent 7 years in leadership roles at IBM, serving most recently as Product Director for IBM’s Digital and Mobile Commerce Analytics group. Andrew is passionate about design driven product management and building software solutions that users love. Andrew has a computer engineering degree from Drexel University and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.

Kuldeep has more than 15 years of UX research, design and engineering experience and joins UserZoom from TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), where he was Head of User Experience. Prior to that, he led UX Design and User Research at PayPal for nearly a decade. He also has led UX efforts at KLA-Tencor and Icon Medialab. Kuldeep is a renowned author and speaker, and he brings a BE in Industrial Engineering from Nagpur University and a Masters Degree in Human Computer Interaction from the Industrial Engineering department at Clemson University.

Bringing together strategy and execution, Roberto has a wide-range of Marketing experience in consumer, small business, and enterprise SaaS markets. His background as a musician and education in Computer Information Systems were the start of a career at the intersection of where Marketing lives today – Art and Science. Roberto has built, mentored, and managed high-performing marketing organizations at Webex, Cisco, Skype, Microsoft, and most recently at Jive Software as their VP of Marketing.

Joining the company in 2013, Jamie Mellalieu is the Vice President of Sales for UserZoom in Europe. Jamie has advised a wide range of companies over the years, from the world’s best-known brands to public sector and SME-level organizations on how to best identify and approach their aims and objectives. Jamie brings nearly two decades of sales leadership and business development experience and was Head of Business Development at Zen Web Solutions prior to joining UserZoom.

Jordi has a background in Computer Engineering and more than 10 years of experience in a SaaS company. During this time, Jordi has honed his knowledge into a clear understanding of tools, technologies, and best practices of enterprise requirements for a SaaS company in the Technical Support and IT Security areas.

Albert wrote the first line of code of the UserZoom software. He now manages the R&D department. The first code he ever wrote was at the age of 9 when he accomplished to move a turtle on a screen in LOGO language. Albert holds a degree in software engineering.

Francesc has been the Project Manager for UserZoom since 2006. He designed the first UserZoom SaaS database. He demonstrated his ability in mathematics and analysis from an early age. Francesc holds a Bachelor in Mathematics from the University of Barcelona.

Lee has over fifteen years industrial experience in UX research and design. Roles at Google, and Nokia have allowed Lee to impact on products and services used by millions of people, daily, across the globe. He has a PhD in Interactive Systems Design from Birmingham University and a BSc in Psychology from Glasgow University.

Elena has over 10 years of experience in the Technical Support sector. She has been in UserZoom since 2012, being able to acquire a huge knowledge about our platform and understanding our clients’ needs. Elena holds a degree in programming and is certified in project management and ITIL.

Board of Directors

UserZoom’s Board of Directors bring a wealth of experience and know-how to the table, with a combined experience of over 100 years of making profitable business.

Dan has over 20 years of proven management and leadership experience with both public and private cloud-based companies as a CEO and as a Board Member. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and played NCAA Division 1 hockey.

Gus started his investment career at Trinity Ventures, where he primarily worked with early stage technology companies. Prior to becoming an investor, Gus held several business development and marketing positions at Saltare, a venture-backed enterprise software company. He began his career as an analyst in the technology investment banking division of Robertson Stephens. Raised in Miami, Gus received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA degree from Swarthmore College where he was a Swarthmore Scholar.

With over 3 decades of experience as an industry financial leader, Mark is an experienced chief financial officer who has a track record of helping companies grow and manage through domestic and international expansions, strategic acquisitions, and IPOs.  Most recent, he was the chief financial officer of Lithium Technologies. He also serves as a board member of CallidusCloud. Previously, he served as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of DemandTec. Prior to joining DemandTec, Mark was Chief Financial Officer at iManage and SciClone Pharmaceuticals. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he spent 10 years working with many high technology companies. Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Dakota.

Andy began his career as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup in New York. Andy graduated with honors from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania. He received a B.S. from the Wharton School with dual concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management and a B.S. from the School of Engineering with a major in Materials Science and Engineering and a minor in Math. Born and raised in sunny Los Angeles, Andy is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys rock climbing in Yosemite Valley, scuba diving, nature photography and snacking on jalapeno kettle chips.
